My son is almost 10 and he likes the glove. The glove is slightly big for him but he's able to get his hand in there and work it. It's his first year of mustang where he plays second and short. I wanted to get him something that would last and something that he could pass down to his kids one day.
The only downside was the engraving. It was done on the dark portion of the glove, therefore the engraving is hard to see. The good thing is, it's one of a kine. Other than that I'm happy with the purchase and so is my son. Previous to this he was using a Akedema.

My son just started playing baseball and he's tall for his age. So, I purchased the Alpha S-200 and realized it was to large. I then purchased the Alpha S-100 which was the perfect size for him, now. The good thing is that in a couple of years when he grows out of his S-100 he will have this Alpha S-200 and it will already be fully broken in. My son loves his Nokona gloves. For anyone looking for a top quality, game ready, long lasting, great feeling and good looking glove, then you can't go wrong with a Nokona glove.

I bought the glove for my 7 year old son. We're previously purchased asian-made gloves for big retailers. All were okay. Recalled that Nokona was the only real manufacturer of baseball gloves left in the US. Decided to give it a shot. I could not be more impressed. Exceedingly well made and incredible attention to details. Ready out of the box. Expensive, but worth every single penny.

The design of the Alpha Select S-200 provides a generous pocket, yet snugly fits the hand of a younger player. The materials and workmanship are excellent. The glove is basically ready to use right out of the package, as advertised. We bought this as a gift for our 9-year-old grandson. While it is more expensive than lesser gloves, we thought the cost was justified given the effort he puts in, and the major costs associated with select/travel team ball. This glove definitely takes equipment out of the equation.
